Ganesha’s Birth

Ganesha’s birth begins with a boundary. Pārvatī creates a son to guard her space, and Śiva returns to find someone who will not let him pass. Their encounter brings together love, conflict, loss, and transformation, culminating in the elephant-headed deity we know as the guardian of thresholds and lord of beginnings.
The story gives us a way to explore the relationship between consciousness and embodied life. Spiritual understanding asks something of us in our relationships: the willingness to listen, respect boundaries, and meet one another with wisdom and care. Ganesha stands at that meeting place, where what we recognize in practice becomes part of how we live.
